What is CNC Cylinder Twisting?
CNC cylinder bending is a computer-controlled (CNC - Computer Numerical Control) process that allows metal sheets to be bent in the desired diameters and shapes. This process is used specifically for the precise formation of cylindrical and conical shapes. CNC cylinder bending machines are commonly used in the production of products such as cylinders, pipes, tanks and various cylindrical structural elements.
CNC Cylinder Bending Process
Material Preparation:
Material Selection: The type (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.) and thickness of the metal sheet to be bent are determined.
Cutting: The plate is cut to the desired dimensions and made suitable for the bending process.
Programming:
CNC Programming: The desired bending shape and dimensions are programmed using special software for the CNC machine. This program controls the movements and twisting parameters of the machine.
Parameters: Bend angle, bend radius and other necessary parameters are included in the program.
Machine Setting:
Adjustment of Rollers: CNC roller bending machine is adjusted according to the thickness and bending diameter of the plate.
Placing the Plate: The cut metal plate is placed between the bending rollers.
Twisting Process:
Cylinder Movement: The CNC machine performs the programmed bending operation. Rollers create the desired shape by bending the plate with a certain pressure and speed.
Control: During the bending process, the CNC system constantly checks the accuracy and precision of the process and makes adjustments when necessary.
Recent Transactions:
Quality Control: The dimensions and shape of the bent part are checked. Corrections are made if necessary.
Cleaning and Finishing: The bent part is cleared of burrs, if any, and finishing steps are applied.
